This is how we do it with our solutions, whether our gait analysis sensors, in-house CNC mattress measuring machine, or our 3D Avatar solution – everything is researched by Motesque’s biomechanics engineers in our own laboratory.

OUR ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

Our R&D Lab is equipped with the best research-grade fully instrumented treadmill available on the market. It offers highly accurate 3D force data at precisely controlled velocities. In addition, we have also installed a high-tech 3D camera system with 16 cameras for high speed, precise tracking at a 240 FPS capture rate. With their integrated image processing, the cameras achieve world-leading accuracy and low latency. Our unique Motesque IMU sensor technology complements our motion analysis system. The sensor system offers the highest level of inertial detection and provides fast and easy-to-understand results within seconds. The sensor samples at over 1,000 Hz and captures even your fastest movements. All data can be recorded simultaneously and streamed at full frame rate via Wi-Fi. Its modular software architecture can control many applications and intelligently distribute analyses between a local computing device and the cloud. In addition, our custom software blends perfectly with the rest of the system, resulting in outstanding visuals and ease of use.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE DATA?

In this advanced R&D center, we can develop new products, evaluate and benchmark their performance, and fine-tune and validate them with our outstanding equipment. This is followed by optimization of every single detail. The output from this process provides valuable insights that also form the basis for our continuous, data-driven product development.

The data of the CNC machine allows us to create high-fidelity digital representations. Once the mattress profile is created, it can be used in online stores as well as in physical stores worldwide to recommend the best mattress for each individual.

For motion analysis applications, our equipment enables us to acquire accurate ground truth data for the development and improvement of algorithms. Anything we develop in this field is tested against gold standard systems in biomechanics.

From this development products evolve such as high-quality running analysis or our gait analysis to improve health therapies in the field of orthopedics and prosthetics.

The Lab also serves the purpose of offering our unique running analysis for recreational runners and athletes.

In our R&D Lab we are also equipped with a machine developed in-house specifically to measure and digitize mattresses. The CNC machine records precise force measurements at a certain indentation depth over the surface of each mattress.
